Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

Draft. This page has not been reviewed by a lawyer and has blanks in [BRACKETS] to fill in. It must be finished before the service is offered to the public.

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] ("we", "us"), which runs LawnBiz Made Easy (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are signing up for a business, you are agreeing on its behalf.

1. What the service is

LawnBiz Made Easy helps lawn care businesses keep track of customers, daily work, invoices and schedules. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not collect payments from your customers, and it does not give tax, legal or accounting advice.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password private. The person who creates a business account is its owner and decides who else is invited. Tell us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you think someone has got into your account.

3. Free trial and subscription

A new business gets a free trial of [14] days. To keep adding and changing information after the trial you need a paid subscription, currently [$14.99] per month per business, billed in advance through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew each month until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from the app; your subscription then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give refunds for part of a month, except where the law requires it. If a payment fails we will try the card again and let you know; if it still cannot be collected the subscription ends.

When a trial or subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still see what you entered, but cannot add or change it until you subscribe again.

We may change the price. If we do, we will tell you at least [30] days before it affects you.

4. Your information

The information you put into the service, such as your customers, addresses, work records and invoices, is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to store your customers' details and for the accuracy of what you enter. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to send spam, to store information you have no right to hold, to try to get into other businesses' data, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your information safe, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. Routes and distances are estimates. We may change or remove features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms. After an account is closed we delete its information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim arose.

9. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [MISSOURI], and disputes will be heard in the courts located there. If we change these terms we will post the new version here and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
